The Nürburgring is certainly one of the most popular destinations in the Eifel Region. The Nordschleife track is since its inauguration in 1927 the most famous race track in Germany. Until 1976 Formula 1 races were organized on the legendary 20.8 km long Nordschleife. From 1984 an extension was build at the same place and became the world most modern Grand Prix race track for that time. Those two separate tracks can be combined into a day-long course up to 26km total in length, which is the longest Grand Prix circuit in the world!
In addition to motor sports events, the Nürburgring offers an extensive leisure facilities – especially the “world of Nurburgring experiences” in Nürburg with indoor Karts track and cross karts outside a museum with Fromel1 and touring cars and the Nürburgring-lab.
