Around Adenau and generally in the Eifel, hides much of the Romans and from the Middle Ages heritages many of them still hided in the magnificent vineyard from the Ahr region.
Many small and big castles, some of them are still in very good condition, are awaiting your visit. Whoever stop over in Adenau -Nürburgring region, must visit the namesake of our famous racetrack, the Nürburg Castle only 8 Km from Adenau overlooking the “Nordschleife” track.
For wine enthusiasts we recommend the wine trail that runs through the wine terraces. Have a walk in the smallest, most northerly wine-growing region, the Ahr. Take the opportunity to visit one of the oldest German wine cooperative, the wine growers Mayschoss. There you can watch the wine growers at work, directly from the vine yards and at the end of the day enjoy a nice wine tasting.
